Aberfeldy Self Catering Cottage Accommodation

Special Offer Winter Breaks

Each winter Aberfeldy Cottages are happy to offer our customers special rate winter breaks staring at the beginning of November and ending at the beginning of March but excluding Christmas and New Year week and mid February.

River Tay Aberfeldy with Snow and Hoare Frost

All our cottages are £275.00 for a full winter week, except Tomghuibhais, which is £375.00. This rate is for 4 star Visit Scotland rated accommodation in properties that have saunas, Jacuzzis and conservatories and one can sleep as many as 8 people comfortably. That works out at £4.91 per night per person, which equates to camping rates.

All our cottages are lovely and cosy to come home to each night. They all have full gas central heating, are double-glazed, have electric blankets, hot water bottkles and some have open coal fires, living flame fires in pine mantles or log burners.

Aberfeldy and Highland Perthshire in general do not close down over the winter. Nearly every business remains open, as there are still plenty people about. There are four timeshare developments in the area and all have guests during the winter months. Walking in the crisp winter air is an exhilarating experience where, with temperature inversion in the valleys, it often gets hotter the higher you go. We have had people returning home in February with good suntans.

Winters are usually fairly dry and clear but on the occasion when the weather is inclement and you really need to be indoors then we have an indoor pool in Aberfeldy and attractions for you to explore such as Dewar’s World of Whisky in Aberfeldy, the Chocolate Factory at Grandtully, House of Bruar at Blair Atholl, the Breadalbane Fokelore Museum at Killin, Edradour and Blair Atholl Distilleries in Pitlochry, the Iron Age Crannog at Kenmore and Pitlochry Theatre provides entertainment throughout the winter months.

Further afield there are 3 ski resorts all within a two-hour drive, Glenshee, Aviemore and Glencoe Mountain Resort. For those amongst you who like slipping on a cold wet suit on a frosty morning, there are numerous white water rafting activities and other equally crazy adrenaline sports. For those of a more cowardly nature, Highland Perthshire is dotted with lovely pubs, restaurants and iconic coffee shops like House of Menzies and the Aberfeldy Watermill or why not try a bit of pampering with beauty therapists Lynn and Sarah Dark at Zest in Aberfeldy (10% off for Aberfeldy Cottages guests).
