From the Gaelic meaning is “High Country of Scotland”, Breadalbane is dominated by great sweeping mountains and a wonderful sense of space.
Highland Perthshire wedged between two of Scotland's National Parks; the Cairngorms and Loch Lomond and the Trossachs. It is a land of deer and eagles, walkers and climbers, lochs and tumbling waterfalls, myths and legends.
We have six lovely cottages, all equipped with every conceivable modern appliance, they are maintained to a very high standard and have all recently been furnished with designer materials and quality furniture and retain a homelike charm, with each property having a personality and character of its own. Some are suitable for a bit of pampering with their Jacuzzis, saunas and conservatories others, that sleep seven or eight and have large safe gardens, are more suitable for families. Most of our cottages have internet access.
The quality assured cottages are a mix of Visit Scotland inspected 3 star and 4 star, giving a versatile choice of superb luxury accommodation across a range of sizes and prices.
We are members of Welcome Host and of the Visit Scotland Walkers Welcome and Cyclists Welcome Schemes.
All our self-catering properties are thoroughly cleaned and inspected once a week and along with the gardens and approaches are appropriately maintained and all cottages undergo upgrading and redecoration on a regular basis.
We take health and safety seriously so the cottages have first aid kits, gas detection monitors and smoke alarms and we engage qualified experts to ensure that we comply with all the appropriate legislation regarding gas and electrical safety and provide us with the appropriate certification.
The town centre of Aberfeldy is only a short walk away from our cottages and the town and the surrounding rural communities have a thriving yet gentle pace far removed from the noise and stress of the outside world.
As well as supermarkets the town offers a pleasing variety of independent shops each with an individual character where traditional service still prevails.
They provide specialist foodstuffs, clothes shoes, books and gifts and in addition there are numerous restaurants, hotels, cafes, bars and bistros.
Folk nights and Scottish ceilidhs ("kay-lees") are regular features in local bars. For the gourmet, there are numerous good quality country house hotels and restaurants, all within a 15-20 minute drive from Aberfeldy.
